Meet Alma — Cub & Fox’s youngest cub, a giddy, fearless little explorer who experiences the world with her tiny hands, wide eyes, and boundless curiosity. At just one year old, her playtime is full of discovery, delight, and sensory wonder. These are Alma’s favourite toys — open-ended treasures that grow alongside her, sparking imagination and meaningful engagement every day.
Play Silks – Movement, Magic & Imagination
Sometimes the simplest toys offer the richest experiences. Play Silks have become an everyday essential in Alma’s toy box. Whether fluttering through the air during sing-alongs or used in spontaneous games of peekaboo, these silks invite movement, sensory play, and storytelling.
Her favourite game? The Blooming Flower — slowly opening a silk to reveal a tiny surprise inside. It always ends in giggles, especially when the silk tickles her nose! These silks will grow with her, transforming into capes, doll blankets, or imaginative props as her creativity blossoms.
Magic Canvas – First Steps to First Strokes
From the earliest days, Alma was captivated by the Magic Canvas. As a baby, she gazed at its high-contrast black-and-white patterns from her rocker, absorbing the shapes and contrasts with wonder.
As she began to crawl and walk, the canvas became a stage for her movement. We’d gently wet her feet and guide her across the surface, letting her create her first footprints — a sensory-rich journey of cause and effect.
Today, she’s an emerging little artist. Her grip on the paintbrush may still be a little chewy, but even that keeps the bristles wet enough to make joyful marks — her first steps into creative expression.
Magnetiles – Building, Breaking & Belly Laughs
Magnetiles are a favourite — but not in the way you'd expect. Alma isn’t building just yet… she's demolishing! Her joy lies in knocking over the towers built by her older siblings. The clatter of tiles falling to the floor is music to her ears — and a lesson in cause, effect, and endless fun.
As she grows, these same Magnetiles will take on new meaning. She’ll start stacking and constructing, creating her own colourful masterpieces, shaped by her evolving imagination.
Why These Toys Matter
Each toy in Alma’s world serves a greater purpose. They're not just fun — they're tools for:
-
Sensory development
-
Motor skills
-
Emotional connection
-
Creative growth
Open-ended toys like these evolve with your child. They adapt to their stage of development and empower them to explore, imagine, and express themselves at their own pace.
So if you’re curating a toy box for a little one in your life, take a page out of Alma’s book. Choose toys that grow with your child, and you'll be rewarded with wonder-filled moments, joyful messes, and memories that last.
